Fifty vocational students from the Göttingen region visited the German Primate Center in December as part of the project series "Europa vor Ort erkunden" [Exploring Europe on location]

Fifty vocational students from the Göttingen region visited the German Primate Center and the Physics Institute of the University of Göttingen in December. As part of the project series "Europa vor Ort erkunden" [Exploring Europe on location] organized by the Bürger Europas e.V. Association in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Families, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, vocational students explore research locations funded by the EU and discuss with prominent representatives from politics. Alexander Gail, head of the Sensorimotor and Neuroprosthetics research group, guided the visitors through the laboratories and gave a lecture on the topic of the neuroscientific objectives of the EU project Plan4Act, which is being carried out in cooperation with Florentin Wörgötter of the University of Göttingen and other European partners. Stefan Treue welcomed the guests and Thomas Oppermann, Vice-President of the Bundestag, presented topics for discussion with the students in his presentation "Europe in the 60th year of the EU".
