Ms. Prerna Arora and Ms. Najat Bdeir started their PhD theses in the Infection Biology Unit in autumn of 2017. Their research aims are developing defective interfering particles (DIPs) for influenza therapy. For this, they will devise new cell systems for DIP production and they will investigate how the antiviral activity of DIPs can be improved.
