The German Primate Center (DPZ) - Leibniz Institute for Primate Research is one of 97 research and infrastructure establishments of the Leibniz Association. It conducts basic biological and biomedical research in all fields in which non-human primates play essential roles: particularly in infection research, neurosciences, and organismic primate biology. Besides its research infrastructure in Göttingen, the DPZ maintains four field stations for research on and with primates www.dpz.eu/en/about-us/profile/mission.html

The Social Neurobiology Lab is a Junior Research Group funded by the European Research Council led by Raymundo Baez-Mendoza, Ph.D. We investigate the neuronal basis of social connection in humans and non-human primates. To this end, we use behavioral testing and measurements and electrophysiological recordings and perturbations. For more information, visit our website, baezlab.co

The postdoc should have a doctoral degree, a passion for social interactions and their neuronal basis, and strong quantitative and experimental skills. Prior experience with electrophysiology is an asset but not essential.

We offer a pleasant work environment, modern work equipment, flexible and family-friendly working hours, as well as the possibility to occasionally work from home or remotely. The working language in our department is English.
