The German Primate Center (DPZ) GmbH – Leibniz-Institute for Primate Research - in Göttingen is a primate research and competence center. The DPZ concentrates on three main areas, namely Organismic Primate Biology, Infectious Diseases and Neurosciences. The DPZ is one of 93 research and infrastructure establishments of the Leibniz Society. The DPZ is also a member of the German Center for Cardiovascular Research (Deutsches Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung, DZHK)

The DPZ Platform Degenerative Diseases (Head: Prof. R. Behr) will intensify its current research activities in the fields of embryology, assisted reproductive technologies and stem cell research in the context of the DZHK focus on cardiovascular research and heart regeneration. Therefore,

We are seeking for a

postdoc / scientist (f/m)

The enthusiastic applicant should have experience in assisted reproductive technology and / or mammalian preimplantation embryology to strengthen our interdisciplinary team consisting of veterinarians with foci on reproductive biology and cardiology as well as stem cell and reproductive biologists. The candidate (PhD, MD, Veterinarian or equivalent) should be highly motivated to refine and further develop assisted reproductive technologies in non-human primates. Practical work with monkeys in collaboration with a veterinarian is part of the work. The position is initially available for 2 years. An extension is possible within the WissZeitVG.

The position is available from now on.

The appointment at the DPZ follows the applied regulations of civil service. The classification follows the TV-L. In case of equal qualifications disabled persons are preferred.
