The "berufundfamilie" certificate, which the German Primate Center (DPZ) has been carrying since 2010 and was extended on March 15, was awarded on June 15, 2020 for the first time in the 22-year history of the audit during an online event. This is the fourth time that DPZ has been honoured for its strategically designed family and life phase conscious personnel policy together with 981 other companies, institutions and universities.

At DPZ, currently 430 employees benefit from the family-conscious measures. The range of services currently offered includes flexible working hours, the possibility of part-time work, comprehensive employee information in German and English on the intranet, information services to relieve employees with care tasks, the provision of crèche places with a local provider and company health promotion. This offer is to be further expanded in the coming years.

"Our commitment in the area of family and life-phase conscious personnel policy should contribute to increase the motivation and performance of the employees by creating family-friendly working conditions, improve the attractiveness for attracting qualified personnel and promote a positive image of DPZ among employees, potential applicants and the general public", says Michael Lankeit, Managing Director at DPZ.

The audit is offered by the berufundfamilie Service GmbH, which will start a further dialogue procedure in three years to ensure the quality of the certificate. The aim of the dialogue procedure is to maintain the high level of development of a family and life phase conscious personnel policy and to use the potential for optimisation in individual selected areas.
