The PRIMADIS project explores the role of the thalamic pulvinar in the primate brain and has received one million euros in funding to decode the neural networks involved in adaptive cognition. Using innovative chemogenetic techniques, the researchers aim to selectively disrupt specific brain connections to understand their impact on perception, decision-making, and action planning, with potential implications for therapies targeting neurological disorders.
