Endogenous and exogenous contrast mechanisms

Despite the widespread use of MRI in clinical diagnostics, its low specificity remains a challenge. To improve the in vivo characterization of tissue microstructure, we use multi-contrast approaches that combine the advantages of different MR contrasts.
