Around 400 people with very diverse professional backgrounds work at the German Primate Center GmbH (DPZ). The work areas include animal care, administration, operational technology and IT, as well as various scientific disciplines. An international, open atmosphere defines the working atmosphere, which benefits from flat hierarchies. The DPZ is proud of its high staff diversity, as well as the close networking of research and teaching within the Göttingen Campus. Young academics
Support of young academics is an important aim of the DPZ. Closely cooperating with the University of Göttingen and the Veterinary and Medical College in Hannover, students from all over the world work on their Bachelor-, Master-, or PhD-degrees at the DPZ. In graduate schools the postgraduates are throroughly prepared for their scientific career.
Apprenticeships
The DPZ offers different kinds of apprenticeships, depending on the demand in our several departments. In principle we offer professional training in following jobs: clerk, animal keeper specialising in research and clinics as well as qualified IT specialist focusing on system integration.
