Sponsorship Society of the DPZ awards prize for best thesis

The Sponsorship Society of the German Primate Center ("Förderkreis des Deutschen Primatenzentrums e.V.") aims to support junior scientists working at the DPZ who perform research with or about non-human primates.

For the first time the Sponsorship Society will award a prize for best thesis of the year in the research sections Infection Research, Neuroscience and Organismic Primate Biology. Each of the three prizes is endowed with 500 Euro.

Entitled for application are all doctoral students of the DPZ who successfully completed their thesis in 2020 in one of the three research sections.

Applications (in English or German as a PDF via E-mail) must be submitted by January 31, 2021 with the following documents:

• Thesis including information on the starting and end date, supervisor, grade
• Summary of the most important findings of the work
• CV including
  - List of publications (‘published’ or/ and ‘in press’)
  - List of presentations (talks and posters)

Please send applications to the chairman of Sponsorship Society, Prof. Dr. Eberhard Fuchs (efuchs(at)gwdg.de). He will forward the applications to the spokesperson of each research section. The selection of the best thesis will be carried out in each section via an internal and independent process.

The prizes will be awarded in the first quarter 2021.
