The Sponsorship Association of the DPZ in 2013 again offers its popular sponsorship prize. The price enables junior scientists to conduct a six-months research project at an institute of their choice. Additionally, awardees receive 1.000 EUR in cash.

The jury will be comprised by members of the Scientific Advisory Board of the DPZ and choose the award winner. Junior scientists working in biologic or biomedical disciplines may apply, if non-human primates are an indispensable part of their work.

Former awardees like Stephanie Westendorff or Martin Surbeck used the six-month scholarship to sharpen their scientific profile by studying in Canada or Switzerland.

Digital applications (e-mail with attached PDF) are called for until August 15th 2013 and have to include the following documents:

  • Results of scientific work (usually a PhD thesis)
  • abstract of the work's essential results,
  • in case of a PhD thesis: start, end, supervisor, marksupporting letter (one page) of a renowned scientists including the reason why the candidate is worthy of further support
