DPZ Research in Downtown Göttingen

The EU Research Project VIGILANT at Science Goes City

Markus Hoffmann and Susanne Diederich inspired numerous visitors to take an interest in DPZ research at the event in downtown Göttingen. (Plush) viruses, handkerchiefs, and creative pin buttons were perfect for striking up conversations and entertainingly conveying the EU-funded VIGILANT project and its goal of developing broad-spectrum antiviral drugs.

Through their personal dedication and clear, accessible communication, the two successfully conveyed the broad spectrum of DPZ research even to those who were previously unfamiliar with the institute or knew little about its work.

Science Goes City once again provided a great opportunity to present our research—and to answer many exciting questions from visitors.

For those who missed the campaign, we've created a scrollytelling about the VIGILANT project: http://vigilant-project.dpz.eu/
