The library of the German Primate Center is a special scientific library with a focus on primates. It contains a comprehensive collection of primatological literature from the 20th and 21st centuries. The library is primarily a service facility for the scientists of the DPZ. Use by external persons is possible by appointment.

From 1977 to 2008, the German Primate Center published the journal Primate Report with articles from all fields of primatological research.
