Beyza Akkoyunlu completed her masters in neuroscience at the Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. Her thesis focused on functional changes in the brain during the course of visual perceptual learning. She is interested in the role of attention on perceptual learning. She now joins the Perception and Plasticity Junior Research Group under supervision of Caspar Schwiedrzik.
