Welcome Irene Lacal
Irene Lacal studied Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychological Rehabilitation at the University “La Sapienza" of Rome (Italy). Her master’s thesis focused on the epigenetic mediation of stress-induced psychopathologies in the lab of Neurobiology of Behavior, supervised by Rossella Ventura. She then completed her dissertation with Alexandra Battaglia-Mayer in the field of Behavioral Neurophysiology, with a thesis on the neuroeconomic basis of cooperative behavior in non-human primates. She now joins the Sensorimotor Research Group as a postdoc where she will investigate the neural encoding of action choices in freely moving monkeys.
