Ryo completed his masters in Advanced Neuroimaging at University College London in  the UK, under the supervision of Dr Quentin Huys. His master's thesis investigated the functional activity of the amygdala, which is a region of the brain,  as a significant relapse factor in depression based on the affective processing system. He now joins the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab/Cognitive Neurology Group/Decision and Awareness Group under the supervision of  Stefan Treue, Melanie Wilke and Igor Kagan, respectively.
