Technical equipment

A 3 Tesla full body tomograph (Magnetom Prisma®, Siemens Medical Solutions, Erlangen) with a magnet opening of 60 cm and a maximum gradient thickness of 80 mT/m is available for examinations of humans and larger monkeys (e.g. macaques). Small rodents (mouse, rat) and monkeys up to the size of marmosets will find optimal examination conditions in a 9.4 T small animal tomograph (Biopsec®, Bruker BioSpin, Ettlingen) with a magnetic opening of 30 cm and a maximum gradient thickness of 660 mT/m.
