Attila Trunk studied Computer Science (B.Sc.Ed) and Physics (M.Sc.Ed) at the University of Pecs, Hungary and completed his master's thesis on digital curriculum development. He then joined the lab of Prof. Istvan Hernadi for his PhD on the potential combined effects of different environmental factors on human attention using EEG at the University of Pecs. After his PhD he joined the Translational Research Group at Grastyan Translational Research Center, Pecs, as postdoc. His research focused on investigating attentional and working memory biomarkers in models of neurodegenerative diseases (e.g. Alzheimer’s disease) and models of mental illnesses (e.g. schizophrenia) in humans and non-human primates using EEG. He now joins the Cognitive Neuroscience Lab as a postdoc in the Sensorimotor Research Group where he will investigate the neural correlates of action planning and decision making.
