After an extended hiatus we are excited to restart the Primate Neurobiology Meeting !

This single-track international meeting offers a platform for scientists studying behavioral and neural mechanisms of sensory, motor, cognitive and social functions of nonhuman primates.

For the 13th Primate Neurobiology Meeting we will meet in Goettingen April 26-28, 2023.

We welcome you to the meeting and hope you seize this unique opportunity to get together with colleagues. Please, tell others who might be interested in the topic and may not be on the mailing list.

With your contributions, we are looking forward to an exciting scientific program. The single-track schedule ensures plenty of opportunities to interact and discuss your research. In addition to three keynote lectures,  there will be 80 posters (DIN A0, Portrait format) and 14 oral presentations (15-20 min), as well as a forum for discussion. A cash prize will be awarded for the best poster!

An additional program will be organized specifically for technicians

This year's keynote speakers are:

     Yifat Prut

Hebrew University,
Jerusalem, Israel

Cerebellar control of neural and behavioral coordination

    Aldo Genovesio

Sapienza University,
Rome, Italy

The role of the macaque frontal pole cortex in
exploration and evaluation of self and others’ choices

   Jude Mitchell

University of Rochester,
New York, USA

Neural mechanisms of active vision in marmoset visual cortex

The meeting will allow you to discuss new results, established as well as upcoming new methods, questions of animal husbandry and welfare as well as legal issues related to regulating research on nonhuman primates. The Primate Neurobiology Meeting is characterized by a deliberately informal format to facilitate the exchange of information on any aspect of primate neurobiology and to allow us to speak out on behalf of this indispensable approach in the neurosciences. To this end, participants may present any aspect of their work at any stage – from the presentation of methods to that of concepts, from the introduction of very first results to the discussion of work that may have already been presented at other conferences. In particular, we encourage students and postdocs working in nonhuman primate laboratories to participate and to consider presenting their projects.
