The 8th Primate Neurobiology meeting was held at the German Primate Center from 16 to 18 March 2015. For two days, 136 participants from Europe, Canada and the USA discussed topics concerning the neuroscientific work with primates. The latest research from fields such as motion control or visual perception was discussed in presentations and posters. In addition to neuro-scientific content, topics such as Animal Welfare or socio-political aspects of primate research were discussed. The themes of the presented content were on topics from three scientists: Keynote Lectures: Reza Shadmehr (Johns Hopkins University/Baltimore, USA), Nicole Rust (University of Pennsylvania/Pittsburgh, USA) and Robert Wurzt (National Eye Institute/Bethesda, USA).

A workshop for technicians, animal keepers and trainers took place parallel to the conference. The primary focus of this year's meeting was the practical aspects of different neuroscientific methods.

The Conference was concluded by a few social events and a tour of the DPZ.
