Auditory Neuroscience and Optogenetics Laboratory
As a faculty member at, both, German Primate Center and University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), Tobias heads the Auditory Neuroscience and Optogenetics Laboratory. His group at the German Primate Center works towards the hard and software development as well as the audiological testing of optical and electrical cochlear implants. In collaboration with the groups of Dr. Jeschke and Dr. Rankovic as well as the Drs. Meyer and Beutner of the Dept. of Otolaryngology of UMG, the Moser group aims to develop the optical cochlear implant and to perform late preclinical trials in marmosets as highly vocal, non-human primate, using the electrical cochlear implant as a benchmark.
