Michal Fortuna comes from Poland, where he studied Biology at the University of Lodz. After obtaining Masters degree he enrolled to the Molecular Medicine Graduate Program at the University of Virginia, USA. He received 2010 PhD degree in Pharmacology (University of Virginia). Michal  Fortuna arrived 2011 Göttingen to join the Institute of Neuro- & Sensory Physiology at UMG. Since Feb 1 he is working in Prof. Dr. Alexander Gail’s group “Sensorimotor” (SMG) and is part of the optogenetic platform.
