Visit of ethics class

On September 11th 2013 about 20 students of the 11th grade ethics class of the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium, Göttingen, visited the DPZ and the Cognitive Neuroscience lab together with their teacher Dr. Ahrend. The students learned about the research questions and research methods of the lab. During the 1-hour visit Prof. Alexander Gail, Head of Sensorimotor Group, gave a general introduction to the research topic for the students before they had opportunity to attend an ongoing neuroscience experiment. During a follow-up visit of Prof. Dr. Alexander Gail at the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium on the 23.10.2013, the students engaged in an extensive discussion on the ethics of animal research.
