Ethics discussion

On July 5th 2013 around 15 students of the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, together with their lecturer Prof. Kunzmann, visited the Sensomotor Group to learn about the research and discuss the ethics of animal experiments. 

Prof. Dr. Alexander Gail, Head of Sensorimotor Group guided the 2-hour visit and the discussion about the ethics of neuroscientific animal research. After a brief tour through the DPZ the group was introduced to the research questions and research methods of the lab. The visitors also had the chance to attend an ongoing experiment. In the final discussion the students had the opportunity to addresse further questions and to learn more about the background of this research.
