Welcome Ryszard Auksztulewicz

We welcome Ryszard as guest scientist in Caspar Schwiedrzik's Junior Research Group on Perception and Plasticity.

Ryszard studied Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands and did his master’s thesis on rapid image categorisation in the visual system in the lab of Victor Lamme, supervised by Steven Scholte. Afterwards, he joined the lab of Felix Blankenburg to complete his PhD on recurrent processing and conscious somatosensation at the Berlin School of Mind and Brain. Following postdoc positions in the labs of Karl Friston at University College London, Kia Nobre at Oxford University, Jan Schnupp at City University of Hong Kong, and Lucia Melloni at the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics, he is currently researching the neural mechanisms of predictive processing in the auditory system in the lab of Caspar Schwiedrzik at the European Neuroscience Institute Göttingen. He joins us a guest scientist in Caspar Schwiedrzik’s Junior Research Group on Perception and Plasticity, where he will investigate the laminar profile of predictive processing.
