Course on General Primatology
Als Kalendereintrag speichernThis course is part of our EUPRIM-Net series “Courses on General Primatology” and aims at students, scientists, animal care takers and other staff involved in primate based animal research. Besides several talks on general primatology of the most commonly used primate models, this course will provide fundamental information on primate behaviour, cognition and neurophysiology. Moreover, in agreement with the 3Rs (reduction, refinement, replacement) an essential part of our course programme will also deal with ethics in animal testing, ABM (Animal Behaviour Management), handling and training of primates as well as with environmental enrichment methods. To complete the programme, the course includes a communication training, which is particularly important for staff working in the fields of primate and animal research in general.
With this 4-day course we intend to increase the background knowledge of students, young scientists or other staff interested in primate research as an essential basis to conduct science at a high ethical standard.
The deadline for registration is the 3rd of November.

Anreise mit dem PKW
Folgen Sie von der Autobahnausfahrt "Göttingen Nord" der B27 in Richtung Braunlage bis zur dritten Ampelkreuzung. Biegen Sie rechts ab Richtung Kliniken und anschließend links in die Robert-Koch-Straße. Am Ende der Straße fahren Sie rechts in Richtung Nikolausberg auf die Otto-Hahn-Straße. Die erste Straße zu Ihrer Linken ist der Kellnerweg, das Primatenzentrum ist ausgeschildert.
Anreise mit dem Bus
Ihr Fußweg von der Bushaltestelle Kellnerweg zum DPZ-Haupteingang/zur Anmeldung:
Von der Bushaltestelle Kellnerweg (Linie 21/22 und 23) Straße überqueren, in Fahrtrichtung des Busses gehen. Am Briefkasen links in den Fußweg einbiegen und rechts halten. Am Ende des Fußwegs rechts in den Kellnerweg abbiegen. Der Haupteingang des DPZ liegt dann auf der linken Seite.
