The Estación Biológica Quebrada Blanco (EBQB) is a small research station in the Amazon rain forest of north-eastern Peru. It was founded in 1984 by the Proyecto Peruano de Primatología (PPP) and is used by our group since 1985 for ecological and behavioural research on New World primates.
Information for interested external users and students
EBQB is principally open for external users, but members of DPZ and students from the University of Göttingen and the Universidad Nacional de la Amazonía Peruana (Iquitos) have priority of access to the limited number of places. Interested potential external users will be served on a “first-come, first-serve“-principle, and external projects dealing with the ecology and diversity of birds, amphibians, orthopterans and vascular plants are of particular interest to us. Interested parties should communicate their plans to Prof. Dr. Eckhard W. Heymann at least 6 months in advance.
